T1 Low-Torque Removable Threadlocker

SmartAdhesives T1 Threadlocker is a low-strength, removable thread locking adhesive that prevents loosening of metal threaded fasteners with a tight seal. Once cured, T1 can be removed with hand tools by applying approximately 60 lbs. of torque to break the seal. T1 prevents leakage from shock and vibration, and keeps out air and moisture to prevent corrosion. This adhesive cures at room temperature when no longer exposed to air, such as tightening a nut onto threads coated with adhesive. T1 cures to workable strength in 1 hour at room temperature, achieving full cure in 24 hours.

Application instructions

DIRECTIONS:
Shake well before using.
(1) Clean and dry parts: Remove all oil, dirt, and grease.

(2) Apply to both surfaces: Apply several drops to both parts (e.g. bolt and screw threads).

(3) Assemble: Assemble parts together and secure to desired torque value. Workable strength is achieved in 1 hour at room temp. Full cure is 24 hours.

(4) Cleanup: Cured product can be removed by soaking in solvent and using a wired brush.

(5) Disassembly: Remove with standard hand tools.

(6) Storage: Store in cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Safety Information

PRECAUTIONS: Avoid inhalation and contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

SUGGESTED FIRST AID:
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 min, occasionally lifting upper and lower eyelids. If irritation persists, seek medical advice. Skin Contact: Wipe off product from skin with towel. Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice. Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If irritation persists, seek medical advice. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink two glasses of water. Seek medical advice.
