Epoxy (plastic): Epoxies are a class of thermoset plastic that form cross-links and cure when a catalyzing agent, or hardener, is added. While we focus on epoxy adhesives, epoxy is also a form of plastic. Technically, epoxy is a polymerizable thermoset polymer containing epoxide groups and curable by reaction with amines, alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids, acid anhydrides, and mercaptans.
