Tracking Your Order
Most orders are shipped UPS and may be tracked online.
Your UPS tracking number is provided in your shipment confirmation email. Also, you may retrieve your tracking number online in the Orders section of My Account.
Curious about the status of any order? Visit the Orders section of My Account, where you will find 3 possible states for your order.
- Pending: the order has been received and is being processed for shipment
- Shipped: the order has been sent from the SmartAdhesives warehouse (all completed orders)
- Attention: something needs attention. You will be called or emailed about this order.
Shipments via common carrier (trucking service) are not self-service trackable. SmartAdhesives will update you via email and phone about these items.
SmartAdhesives ships within the United States.
Some of our shipments are limited to the continental United States because they contain products which may not be shipped by air (for instance, solvent-based contact adhesives).
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands may not include products labeled "Ground ship only."
Products with high VOC content (primarily solvent-based contact adhesives) may not be sold within the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), which covers Los Angeles and some surrounding cities in Southern California. See more details about SCAQMD.
We do not offer APO/FPO shipping at this time. (We're investigating this option. Tell us if you'd find this useful.)
SmartAdhesives offers two different methods for shipping your order:
- UPS: We use UPS to deliver our package shipments, up to and including 5 gallon sizes. We offer ground, three-day select, and next-day air service.
- Common carriers: Also known as Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipping, common carriers deliver our larger shipments, including anything on pallets. We use reputable commercial freight carriers. If you choose this method, we will contact you regarding delivery details, such as whether you have a shipping dock or require a truck with a liftgate.
Normal Shipping Times
SmartAdhesives usually ships orders within one business day.
Orders for in-stock items received before 12pm (noon) Pacific Time on a weekday usually ship that afternoon from our Los Angeles, California facility. Orders received after 12pm (noon) will ship the next business day.
Currently, we do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or major US holidays.
Estimated Delivery Times
Ground service takes 5-7 days, depending on your distance from Los Angeles.

Three-day select arrives in 3 business days, before the end of the third business day.
Next day air will arrive the next business day, by 10:30am, 12 noon, or end of business day, depending on your destination. If choosing next day, please order before 12pm Pacific Time to insure we meet your expectations.
SmartAdhesives does everything we can to get your order to you quickly and as inexpensively as possible.
We calculate your shipping costs based on three factors.
- weight and size of the items in your order
- where we're shipping to (ZIP code)
- what shipping method you choose (e.g., ground or air)
Determine shipping costs in the cart by providing the destination ZIP code and choosing your shipping method.
Shipping weights for each item are available on their respective product detail pages and in the cart, when clicking "Show shipping weights".
Free Warehouse Pickup
Orders Which Require Multiple Shipments
Product availability is updated in real time and displayed prominently both on product detail pages and in the cart to avoid surprises.
Our policy is to wait until all items in your order are available before we ship the order.
If your order contains items that are not in stock, we will email you. We'll ask if you'd like us to ship the available items immediately, or wait until all the items can ship together. We'll include a shipping quote for the additional shipment, so you can make an informed decision.
If you want the available items now (no waiting), please reply to the email or call us. Tell us you would like separate shipments and will accept the additional charge for the separate shipment.
If you can wait, no reply is necessary. We'll hold the order until all items are available, updating you regularly about the status of your order.
